An oft’ asked question in today’s busy world is: “What Time Is It?” unfortunately It seems that most people don’t really want to know that answer. If we really desired the “correct time”, we would certainly be paying more attention to how we are spending the time we have.
Lately I’ve been noticing a subtle shift in my personal outlook, what I “think” I see, and how I “choose” to evaluate what is happening in and around my life. I have always felt myself to be a mildly easy going, glass half full kind of guy. But honestly, I don’t remember ever feeling the uneasiness in my spirit that I sense now. For some reason I feel that my idealistic view has left, and been replaced with an inner need to be on alert, and and discern the TIME and the SEASON.
As a Pastor, it is my responsibility to teach God’s Word; and I work diligently to rightly divide the Bread of Life, and serve it to the body.
As Disciples it is our responsibility to learn and apply the Truth of God’s Word to our lives and order our days as wise and fruitful workers in the fields for God’s Kingdom.
As people who are alive in the 21st. Century, we are troubled by what we see, burdened by what we want, and confused by what we say we believe.
It seems that today we live in a place in time when the Truth and Wisdom of God is not only mostly ignored, it is generally rejected and often even despised as being too invasive and overly demanding; even to those who claim the Name Of Jesus, our Sovereign Lord.
Back to my original point, “What time is it?”
Mt 16:3 “And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?
I think it is time we who call on the Mighty Name of Jesus,
To Get Serious.
Lord please teach us to number our days.
Because of Grace
