John 14:1-4
1 ” Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
4 ” And you know the way where I am going.”
It is a curious time we live in, a curious time indeed. An uncomfortable chill seems to confront and resist any optimism you might find yourself fortunate to experience. The future that for so many once seemed so promising and secure, now seems to resists any attempt to bring it into focus. I often think of all the amazing blessings I have had in my life, and I pray for my family to know and love the Lord; the giver of all good things, so that He may richly bless them also. A recent Bible study led me to 1 Peter 2:21, and I found the instruction to follow the Lord’s example, to be able to fulfill my God called purpose. I have to confess, honestly I don’t know why the Lord placed me in this time, unless He has a planned purpose. A Plan. That reminds me of the promise in Jeremiah, that God has a plan for me, for my good. My eyes and heart don’t see it, but His Spirit tells me it is true! I need to discipline my heart to not believe what I think is real, that which my eyes see.
I live now in this time, because He has called me for a purpose, In This TIME. And for such a time as this, I will live for Him.
